About Longmoor Group

Chris Brice and Michael Hanley founded Longmoor Group, both with over 38 years experience of the specialist security market. They have served in both the UK Royal Military Police and UK Police before spending a year in the Middle East as Close Protection Team Leaders in support of coalition government operations. Chris Brice was bodyguard to General Sir Richard Dannatt (current commander of the British Army) during two separate UK Military operations in Kosovo and Bosnia.

Other Board members include the Chair, Dr Hartley Booth, a Barrister and Consultant to the Corporate Department of Denton Wilde Sapte. Formerly special adviser to the Prime Minister on Law and Order Policy matters which included Police and security issues. Involved in international security matters and author of standard Extradition text books. Currently, Chair of Uzbek British Trade & Industry Council, a Foreign Office/Department of Trade & Industry quango and Director of other companies.

The Right Honourable Sir John Wheeler JP DL served as MP Westminster North from 1979 - 1997. He was Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee from 1979 - 1992. He was Chairman of the National Criminal Intelligence Service and the National Crime Squad from 1997 - 2002. In 1993, Sir John was appointed a Member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council and is a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London. From 1993 -1997, he was Deputy Secretary of State for NI. Sir John was Chairman of the Government Review into airport security and policing within the UK, 2002 - 2003, and headed a review into airport security and policing for the Australian government in 2005. Sir John is a trustee of The Police Foundation and The Order of St John.

Charlie Taylor served in the British Army from 1996 - 2004, he commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in to the Royal Artillery. During his time in the British Army, he was employed as a Troop Commander deploying to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as part of a multinational peacekeeping force. Moving from Germany to the Army Foundation College, Harrogate he was responsible for the leadership and management training of Army trainees. In 2002, he moved to the British Army's Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Regiment as Operations Officer, he deployed with them to Iraq in early 2003 in an intelligence-gathering role.

Alex Scott-Barrett qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1981 and joined Cazenove, the leading City corporate stockbroker, in 1982. He worked initially as an analyst and transferred to the corporate finance department in 1986, becoming a partner of the firm in 1988. In 1996 he became a director of the firm's fund management division and from 2000-2003 was the Chief Operating Officer of that division. Alex left Cazenove in 2003, becoming non-executive Chairman of Suffolk Life Group plc, a specialist pension administration business in August 2003 and non-executive Chairman of General Capital Group plc in June 2004.
