Security Consultancy
Longmoor Group was approached by a large multinational security company to consult on the large number of thefts from their cash in transit vehicles. We were asked to develop solutions to minimise the amount of thefts that were taking place. After a consultation, LG devised a series of solutions to help mitigate the risk. The programme was rolled out nationwide.

Security Consultancy – Longmoor Group was commissioned by a large multinational organisation to assess the threat of their CEO and staff who were planning to travel to Turkey and Saudi Arabia for a business trip. LG carried out the following.

• An up to the minute evaluation of the potential threats to the CEO in the countries he was likely to visit.
• Background checks were conducted on all individuals who the CEO would be meeting.
• The impact of an incident occurring was highlighted to him, his staff and the company.
• We recommended a number of practical control measures for the CEO.
• Training was delivered to his staff prior to the trip.

The trip went as planned and, with the client implementing all of the measures we suggested, was incident free. Longmoor’s consultancy model has been used on subsequent trips.

Penetration Testing
A large international media organisation identified a requirement to conduct a penetration of one of their sites in the UK. Longmoor Group tasked its consultants to conduct the following.

• To assess the current security of the sites by means of on foot reconnaissance.
• Investigate ways to enter the sites by deception only.
• To attempt to gain access to the sites and provide photographic evidence.

The consultant was successful in gaining access to the site and made a number of recommendations on how the security should be improved. After successful completion of the test Longmoor Group were tasked to conduct other tests around the UK.

Security Risk Analysis / Staff and Corporate Security Training
Following a spate of robberies from staff Longmoor Group were asked by one of the largest private car hire companies in the UK to evaluate their policies and mitigate form such things happening again. Longmoor Group tasked an experienced investigator to spend a week with the firm and evaluate the following.

• The current booking system that is in place
• The training that the staff & drivers currently undertake
• Procedures that the drivers adopt when collecting a client
• The internal policies and procedures that the company adopt

After a successful Analysis, it was agreed that Longmoor Group rewrite the company’s policy regarding security of the drivers and staff. In addition, LG was tasked to develop training material for the drivers to heighten awareness and minimise the occurrence of the incidents.

Business Continuity Planning
A large London based newspaper approached Longmoor Group to assist in the training of their Crisis Response team. A series of consultants were tasked to conduct a Serious Incident Management Exercise (SIMEX), where by the Crisis Response team were tested and trained in how to best deal with a serious incident within the organisation. This has now been programmed as a regular exercise for the newspaper.

Security Risk Analysis / Security Training
Longmoor Group were tasked by a developing public house chain to conduct a security risk assessment of a newly acquired premises. Longmoor deployed a consultant to conduct a survey and make recommendations. One of the areas of concern to the client was the vulnerability of staff, Longmoor Group developed a training package for him that focussed on the safety of his staff.
